About Me

sue.i.mnw.blogspot.com: This blog has evolved over the years, and was set aside for a while, so that I could take time to see where I was going. It used to combine birds, poetry - writing and reading, and photography. The three were connected for me, each helping me to find or capture enjoyment and/or meaning in my life. They are still important to me, but maybe I'm looking at them from a different angle now. They still bring moments of joy. I have MS, which is beginning to impact my life. I've also suffered from anxiety and depression - and still feel their effects. My writing has changed - my life has changed - and I find myself looking back, looking differently. I live on the Isle of Sheppey, a strange place of contrasts, where you can lose yourself, intentionally or unintentionally.. I worked as an editor in publishing for some years, then changed to the voluntary sector in social care, working with older people and carers. I have had poems published in various magazines and online. Also shortlisted for several poetry pamphlet competitions. I stopped writing for a while, but now I'm back. Going on.
